To help you on your quest for answers, assistance and support, we’ve compiled some Northeast Ohio area resources. This is not a complete listing, but we hope that the information included here provides a viable starting place for you. Also, many hospitals host ongoing breast cancer support groups. Contact your local hospital to find out what types of programs are offered.

Stewart’s Caring Place:

Ohio WINGS
Women Involved in Nurturing Giving and Sharing): A non–profit organization that offers physical, emotional and spiritual support to uninsured breast cancer patients who don’t qualify for Medicaid. WINGS also has resources for other areas of assistance for uninsured breast cancer patients.

A member of the National Breast Cancer Coalition, provides information and support services for breast cancer survivors in Northern Ohio. Their website includes important information about a variety of programs and services in our area.

Free Breast Cancer Screening:
A program for uninsured women ages 40–65, earning up to 200% of the poverty level. Women diagnosed with breast cancer through this CDC funded screening program will automatically qualify for Medicaid for the duration of their treatment.
